Description
One YMCA’s Family Support Services help children and families get the best possible start in life. Through our Best Start Family Hubs, we provide accessible, joined-up support that builds resilience, strengthens communities and helps families access the right support at the right time.About the Role: We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Family Navigator to support families experiencing vulnerability, disadvantage or complex challenges. Acting as a trusted point of contact, you will help families access services, navigate local systems and build the confidence and resilience needed to thrive.
You will:
• Build trusted relationships with families and provide ongoing support and guidance.
• Help families access health, early help and community services.
• Identify needs early and provide timely interventions to prevent escalation.
• Work closely with partner agencies to coordinate support and improve outcomes.
• Maintain a visible presence within Best Start Family Hubs and community settings.
• Keep accurate records and contribute to service improvement and family engagement.
Requirements: You will have significant experience working with children and families within family support, health, social care or community settings, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and multi-agency working. You will have excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills, alongside a Level 4 qualification (or equivalent relevant experience) in a related field. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.
